Now that the tournament in Kusagakure is over, Tomoe and her genin are back in Konoha. True to what she said before, she is meeting with the genin who attended to hear what they were capable of observing and overhearing during the tournament. After giving them a day to relax and celebrate with their families and friends, she has summoned each one individually to her office to report on what, if anything, they overheard. And of course, Tomoe would also like to hear more about their experiences fighting in the tournament.

Tomoe sits in her office at her desk, waiting for the arrival of Shiko.

OOC - @poleon Logic said he will provide some information for you by PM.

Shiko walked into the hokages office.
"Lord Hokage, you summoned me?"
Shiko assumes it is about the tournament and what he learned, but does not want to be rude and assume. He awaits her reply.

"I did," Tomoe says with a warm smile and a gesture for Shiko to make himself comfortable in one of the chairs in front of the desk. "First of all, congratulations on making it into the quarter finals. You represented Konoha well." A bit jokingly she adds, "I wonder if they set up the brackets so that Konoha's ninjas would have to fight each other and thin out the number of Konoha genin who made it to the semifinals and finals." She laughs at her joke. "Two quarter-final matches pitting Konoha against Konoha, what a good showing we made!"

Shiko laughs as he proceeds to sit, he is a little embarrassed but more angry at himself knowing the hokage knows he lost. He hopes it does not show.
"Thank you, they must have. They didn't want to get embarrassed that we are the best at their own tournament."

Tomoe appears more proud of Shiko than disappointed. "I imagine so. Not a single Kusa-nin made it past the second round. If they were hoping to show their strength and impress the rest of the villages, they failed at that."

She shifts the topic slightly, "So, what all did you learn at the tournament? Did you learn anything of Kusa or notice anything peculiar? And how do you feel that you grew as an individual for having participated in the tournament?"

"Yes, I heard some interesting news. I overheard someone named Senna and a Kusa jounin talking. The jounin stated that the Kusakage had failed to get in with some highly trained s class shinobi. I found that was the only information worth noting."

Shiko shifts in his seat as he shifts from the small information he gathered to himself.

"I feel that I saw what other ninja can do, and have a lot to do to gather power. I should start training immediately and push my limits to further myself."

Shiko gives a small smirk.

"Senna, you say? Senna is a highly trained s rank shinobi herself, one which defected very recently from Iwagakure and is now aiding Kusagakure." Tomoe nods at Shiko's statement. "You would do well to train hard and push yourself further. Senna and some jounin from Kusagakure attempted to assassinate the Tsuchikage after she left the tournament in disappointment at how her genin had fared in the match. It seems Kusagakure was up to more than we had imagined. Train hard and learn some new techniques, they may well have learned too much from us in this tournament, so we will need to face them with new skills in the future if worse comes to worse."

"I will start training everyday, I will become stronger than all the other ninja."
Shiko raises his fist in excitement. He likes the idea of the Hokage needing him in the future.
"But this Senna, why did not see attack us at the tournament?"
Shiko starts thinking of all the opportunities the enemy could have had to wipe out all the enemy genin and even possibly the stronger shinobi.

"I suspect they may have had other motives, such as gathering as much information as they can on the main villages based on how our genin fight. There is much that can be learned about our teaching and training styles that can be learned by observing our genin, and from there they can make inferences about the bulk of our forces. Senna may have also wanted to take out the Tsuchikage quietly, without the other villages suspecting Kusagakure's role in the attack."

"Well do we know if the Tsuchikage is okay? I think we will be alright because I did not fight to kill, I would battle differently for that scenario. I think my fellow genin would as well, but we all do still have alot to learn."

Shiko knows he is not as powerful as he would like. But knows he can grow more powerful through training.

Tomoe nods, "Yes, we were able to ensure the Tsuchikage's safety. So for now Iwagakure and the Tsuchikage are likely safe and it is in their hands to remain so."

"Yes, although you all did well at the tournament, there is much to prepare for. Your sensei has been notified and will assist you all with training and becoming better ninjas, not just in preparation for the chuunin exams, but in preparation for whatever else Kusagakure has in store. Are there any particular questions or concerns you have?" The last question is asked as Tomoe feels the meeting is coming to an end.

"No I have no questions to concern a hokage. Thank you I will figure out my training as soon as possible."

Shiko stands up and heads to the door.

Ooc-I would leave but didn't want to cut off anything. So if there is nothing I leave. If there is I would stop.
