Appearance:
Jynn has short black hair which stands in loose clumped spikes. His dark eyes and caramel complexion complement each other very well. Standing at 6’1 he has an above average muscular build, he doesn’t wear a headband instead opting for a tattoo of the village symbol on his neck. He is usually clad in a dark under garb covered by a minimal set of red shinobi armor composed of a leather chest piece, form fitting leg plates along with forearm and shin guards and dark tabi boots, instead of the ever popular sandals. Not one for elaborate outfits his only other set of clothing is usually a blue long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows and loose fitting black pants.
Personality:
Jynn is always in a good mood and very outgoing and carefree but can become a fierce adversary to those who oppose him and a loyal ally to those he deems worthy. Despite the constant harassment he endures from the village elders it is apparent they respect him for his constant and unwavering dedication to the village and its continued success. He is a firm believer in doing anything to maintain the long peace between the hidden villages and sees them all as equals worthy of respect and friendship.
Not one for deceit and false promises he speaks his mind and is not afraid to oppose the popular opinion. He is quick to see others for their true motives and is no fool and takes great caution when dealing with those he sees as manipulative or untrustworthy. He is always willing to help someone even if they may not want it right away and has never turned down a legitimate plea for help. Wearing his beliefs as a badge of honor he will do anything to help his friends.
History:
Born to one of the smaller clans in Suna and an only child, he always wanted to make something of himself. Growing up in Suna was exciting to Jynn, with all there was to do and the constant interaction with different cultures due in large part from the traveling traders. Life in the village was always exciting and inspired Jynn to see the other villages to learn about them and their people. This played a large part in developing his belief that all people are equal no matter what village they hail from, their abilities or chosen profession.
Life in the academy was challenging but very enjoyable, he made his way through the training without a hitch and eventually graduated being recognized by the then Kazekage for his effort and ability. Not one for getting complacent he tried for chunin and jounin at the earliest opportunity and continued to hone his abilities in secret often times training at a secluded cave on the borders of the village not wanting those he was competing against see his self-crafted techniques until he perfected them.
After making his way to Jounin at 18 he realized his very obvious disadvantage, not having the bloodline abilities of the most prominent shinobi would eventually become his greatest blockade. However Jynn wasn’t discouraged and instead found his own way to reach the next level. After many tries he eventually entered a contract with the Slugs of Shikkotsu Forest, and began training with them for a time.
He was elected Kazekage just after his 25th birthday, and was received with open arms by the village due to his kind nature and unbreakable determination that had inspired dozens of others to never stagnate and treat others with respect and kindness. The largest outcry of protest came from the second candidate for the position a woman named Suino Kaya. Despite her near constant interference and objection to his policy he continues to do things his way.
