[Pirate Warfare] The Dancing Blade

A port town in the Land of Fire is bustling with activity as a large number of Konoha's shinobi forces, officials, dignitaries, and other important persons from all across the country make their way to one of the many galleons lined up at the docks ready to transport people to the Land of Water. Taking advantage of the crowds, many vendors are there trying to their wares - last minute ninja supplies of questionable quality, tasty treats, gaudy souvenirs, and various drinks.

Tomoe makes her way through the many crowds, relying on the jounins and team captains to make sure that all the ninjas directly under their command are accounted for and getting to the right location. There are far too many people for even Tomoe to keep track of among the vendors, civilians, and shinobi. She makes her way to a ship named The Dancing Blade and boards it. From the deck she watches the throng of activity below

ooc I'd prefer if @Silcardo @Mojo20013 and @Shishi joined me, since I've yet to interact with any of you in character. You are definitely not obligated to join this thread if you'd rather start a thread with someone else. If any of those three do not show up within 24 hours of this posting, anyone can take their place. Maximum of three others please.

Ryuu gets a knock on the door early in the morning from an Anbu. Man how he wish he could be one. "The Hokage has summoned you to aboard the ship 'The Dancing Blade'" Oh Boy, Ryuu thought i get to meet the Hokage. Ryuu shut his door as the Anbu disappeared, he began to walk to his room and get all his supplies. He decided to bring 2 paper bombs, 3 shuriken, and Kuro Oni. From there he put on his clothes and loaded himself up. He quickly ran to the docks as fast as he can to join the Hokage on the ship.

Shishi was laying face down against the pillow when he heard a knock against his door. It was his mother, Asami. "Shishi, it's time to get up. An ANBU just arrived at our doorstep stating that you had been summoned aboard a ship called 'The Dancing Blade' by the Hokage," she stated, while holding a basket of fresh clothes as her youngest son opened the door. His hair was messy and he was obviously tired. "H-huh?" He said, half dazed.

"You have orders from the Hokage to be on a ship called 'The Dancing Leaf'. Go get ready," she said, again. He sighed softly and walked past her to go take a shower to get ready. When he was done, he parted ways with his family and headed down to the port town where there were sure to be loads of people. Great.

He could see his shyness kicking in full throttle.

As soon as The Dancing Blade is loaded up with passengers, the calls go out for the vessel to set sail. A bustle of activity follows on decks as sails are unfurled and the crew prepares for departure. Meanwhile, on the docks, there is activity as the last farewells are called to the passengers on the ship.

The galleon makes swift progress away from the docks, and before long the port is but a speck in the distance behind them.

As all of this is going on, Tomoe has consulted with her advisers and the jounin leaders of teams, making sure that all those who will be attending the Kirigakure Masters have managed to make it onto one of the galleons setting sail from a port in the land of Fire to the land of Water. Content that everything seems to be in order and it is simply a matter of waiting until they reach their destination, she heads below the decks with her most trusted of subordinates to wait out the voyage and discuss other matters.

A few minutes after the Hokage heads below decks, a cry of "Pirates! Starboard side!" goes up from the watch. Not long after, there's a splash as a cannonball narrowly misses The Dancing Blade. The ship's crew scurries about to prepare to return fire. As they do so, a group of men riding atop a Water Dragon jump onto the galleon's deck. Two of them wield katanas, one wields an immense sword, another has a long spear, and the last has a bladed whip. These six make up only the start of what is to come.

Ryuu finds himself a comfortable room in the boat under the deck. He sets his stuff down and begins to rest. "Hmm... I think we are going to Kiri for that tornament..." Ryuu gets Kuro Oni and sits it in the corner of the room. He then sits on his bed and begins drawing in this pad he found under the bed.

Shishi eventually found himself on the boat. Though he wouldn't lie and say that it wasn't difficult. I mean, with so many intertwining streets and crowds of people one could get easily lost. And Shishi definitely didn't want to end up on Konoha's Nightly News. Thankfully he found it, however.

Also he was grateful that finding a bed on the boat was a lot easier than traveling here. He settled in a small room with a bed, lamp, a small desk furniture, and a hook attachment to hang his clothes and stuff. However, as time passed he would find his sleep being interrupted. A loud ruckus was happening outside.

Dozen of screams and cries reverberated throughout the entire hall as shinobi tried fending off in coming pirates. "What's going on?" He asked, getting up and walking to the door. Shishi opened it only to see a shinobi fall down before him and a pirate standing with his sword drawn. Shishi stumbles back in shock a little, but as soon as he got his bearings he activated his Sharingan. The pirate then tried striking at him, but he was quick to dodge and then hypnotized him. When the man went stiff Shishi kicked him out of his room and into the wall.

The force knocked the man out. Right after a Jonin comes towards his room asking whether he's okay or not. He confirms that he is, and then is informed of what was happening. The Hokage wanted all available men aboard to defend the ship from being overtaken.

Ugh, just what a day this turned out to be...

At the sound of all the commotion above deck, Tomoe heads up to see what is going on and responds to the pirates swiftly. With a seemingly gentle flick of her wrists, her fans unfurl and she channels chakra through them and with another flick of her wrists, a great gust of wind sweeps a handful of pirates overboard. The majority of them are left flailing in the water, but the ninja trained among their ranks channel chakra into their feet to stay on the water and quickly run up the side of the galleon to return to the deck, although Tomoe is waiting for them. With an acrobatic series of movements, she quickly slashes at them with the blades on her fans, inflicting precise injuries that greatly hinder her opponents' ability to move or react. This time, the sweep gust of wind she creates knocks them into the water, where they try ineffectively to remain afloat in the slightly choppy sea.

That group taken care of, Tomoe turns swiftly and activates her sharingan to assess the scene. There are still more pirates on the galleon, although many of them do not appear to have ninja training, and can easily be left to genin, both early and late responders. Tomoe keys in on the pirate ship, a smaller single masted sloop. Moving out of the way of the oncoming pirates, she heads over to this ship to deal with the source of the pirates and ensure there can be no escape for these troublemakers.

Many pirates had been thrown overboard and those that were unlucky enough to make it down to the lower deck were knocked out and brought up to the top deck to be dealt with. Among those that had taken care of a few of them was Shishi Uchiha. He had lost count of how many pirates he had either caught in illusions or knocked out with basic hand-to-hand combat.

A kick to the nether regions here, a kick to the shin there, another to their handle, or a chop to the neck usually did it. He would then grab them when they've toppled over and knock them out. And if that wasn't enough he would pull smaller-scaled versions of his Ninjutsu techniques to do away with them.

So when the Hokage had went over to take care of her batch he assisted. Some attempted hopping onto the railing of the upper deck, but with a swift kick to their midsection they were sent tumbling into the water. "That's for ruining my nap!" He says, watching the pirate that he kicked float helplessly in the water.
