Spoiler:

Kotetsu was approaching the east gate of Konoha, packed up and ready for the hour travel to where he was supposed to mediate a dispute between two farming villages. He wasn't so sure on what they were arguing for but he hoped to quickly solve the situation and be back in the village as soon as possible in case he is needed for an upcoming war mission.

Upon reaching the gate, he showed the papers permitting him to leave. After being allowed passage through, he wasted no time in rushing off in the direction of his mission. Honestly, Kotetsu dreaded doing this mission, because he didn't like unnecessary conflict unless needed. And in his mind he didn't feel like being attacked over a disagreement while he is there or if they don't even welcome him, yet even so if they did attack he would defend himself.

After nearly an hour journey he was coming upon the border between the two villages but heard something strange coming his way. In an instant Kotetsu activated his Sharingan-Tomoe2 and leaped up into the nearest tree to hide and for cover. With his sharingan he could tell out that it was just a traveling merchant and his kart. Also the weird noise he heard was the squeaking wheels on the kart, that needed to be oiled.

Kotetsu waited until the traveler past by and was out of site before deactivating his sharingan and jumping back down on the road. By now it was starting to get dark, so he decided he would set up camp just a little ways up right on the border of the villages. He did so because he planned on going on a scout tonight to recon the area and see if he can assess any information before speaking with each leader or elder.

Before the sun could fully set and darkness fall across the area, Kotetsu was able to set up his small recon camp. Which consisted of a small makeshift shelter, an area by a tree was cleared to make room for him to sleep, brush all around the area to block the wind and keep him hidden, and a tarp over him at an angle to water won't build up, and the tarp is camouflaged with shrubbery.

Kotetsu didn't bother with making a fire yet, since he knew he would be on recon most of the night, and that it would be better to start a fire around dawn so it won't be complete darkness and reveal your location, if he needed to get warm.

After successfully setting up his camp he was ready to set off on his scout. With little equipment, including his swords he set off further down the border with his Sharingan-Tomoe2 activated. Kotetsu was hoping to see if any of the farmers were sneaking across the border to cause trouble, and if so he wants to attempt to peacefully question the trouble makers about the issue.

Up ahead Kotetsu noticed some lights turn on in a couple houses near the border and in each one, a couple people were shuffling around. I wonder what they could be doing up at this hour, especially at the same time. he thought to himself. So he decided to set up at the base of tree to further watch the two mysterious houses.

After about thirty to fourty five minutes later, he noticed that a man exited the first house and two more from the second. Using his Tomoe 2 he could use his perception to tell that their muscles were tense as if ready to fight and their attitudes seemed like they were looking for trouble.

Naturally, he deduced that these were some of the trouble makers and decided that he would need to stop what they were doing. Along with quietly detaining one for questioning. So Kotetsu allowed the three men to cross the border and get about five minutes ahead of him so he would not be detected or noticed. He then used his tracking skills to trace the men through the area to find them at the edge of the tree line staring at a barn that sat upon a decent size farm.

From here Kotetsu awaited behind a tree awaiting and devising a plan to subdue one of the people. If only they split up he thought to himself, and at that moment the three men must have came up with a plan because two of them swiftly moved closer to the barn using the shadows to avoid getting spotted, while the third stayed behind and acted as a lookout.

This is my chance he thought to himself, as the two men slipped inside the barn leaving the lookout alone. In a quick fashion, he approached the lookout stealthily from behind. Once behind the man, his right hand latched onto the farmers right wrist and he spun it behind his back and shoved the man up against the tree. "Don't make a sound" he hissed at the man as he wrenched his arm as somewhat of a warning. From here Kotetsu retrieved wire from his pouch and bound the mans hands and detained him to a tree a little ways off with a rag in his mouth so he wouldn't make a sound.

After bounding the lookout, Kotetsu was able to move freely, closer to the barn without being spotted. What could they be doing? he wondered to himself as he approached the side of the barn.

Upon reach the barn, he peeked in through a window and noticed that the other two men were frantically searching through crates and boxes inside. What are they looking for? once again, Kotetsu pondered to himself.

After looking for just a minute, Kotetsu thought of the a few plans and determined the one that would be easiest and most efficient way to scare off the men.

With a sly and mischievous grin creeping across his face, Kotetsu performed the necessary hand signs and a flock of crows flew from the trees and molded together into a clone. "You know what to do" he whispered to the clone, and with a nod the clone move to the front door where he made some rattling noises.

The noises were heard by the men and one was sent to investigate it. Yet right as the man opened the door the clone pulled out a kunai and impaled himself, which in turn, poofed into a small flock of crows that flooded into the barn. The excitement from the band of birds flying into the barn and around them, raised the anxiety levels and nervousness of already being there.

The two men swung their arms around and tried scarring the birds out the door and successfully did so. Yet the purpose of the crows worked, the men were tense and frightened now. OK lets finish up here. he thought to himself as he did hand signs and a gust of wind flew in the door and picked up leafs and hay to swirl around inside the barn.Demonic Illusion:Hell viewing Technique

The men had no clue what was starting. They just thought of it as a typical and average gust of wind on this cool night. As the spiral of debris died off, their worst nightmares started to come in view to them. Which really frightened them, enough for them to run away home without even thinking twice or remembering their lookout. As soon as the guys started running he deactivated the jutsu, and couldn't help but to smile a bit.

After chasing off the two men, Kotetsu swiftly searched through the barn in an attempt to uncover what the first two could not. Only after a short search of a few minutes, he came upon a crate that held medium sized vials of a unknown liquid with a purple hue. This must be what they have been looking for. he pondered to himself.

Kotetsu then, gathered up the six vials and returned to his detained farmer. Upon arriving he cut him from the tree but kept his hands bound as they both trecked back to his recon camp.

Once arriving at camp it was already creeping upon dawn, so he decided to start a small fire and brew two cups of tea. While waiting for the tea he removed the tie from the man's hands and placed them in front of him, to where he then retied them. Kotetsu also uncovered the man's mouth and attempted to calm him. "Easy" he reassured with a slight pause before continuing, "I am not here to harm you, yet I have a few questions."

Before he started the questions, Kotetsu grabbed two cups and handed one to the man. He then poured them both a cup of tea, activated his Sharingan:Tomoe2, and began his mild interrogation. "First of all, what is your name?" Kotetsu wanted to start off simple and observe any small movements or twitches in the mans muscles to tell of he was telling the truth or lying.

At first, the man was surprised at Kotetsu's nature, and for the fact that he was just a young kid. "My name is Kansona seikatsu", which translates to 'Simple Life'.

From what Kotetsu could tell, the man was telling the truth, yet still a little shaken up a bit. His muscles or expression didn't suggest that he was attempting to lie. A grin swept across his face at the instant cooperation of the man. "Now, what were you three planning back there at the barn."

As the man took a drink of his tea, he seemed more calmed and relaxed. Kansoma was hesitant at first to answer but knew it would be best for him cooperate, given his situation."I'm sorry, I know we shouldn't have been there." Kotetsu interrupted the man apologizing, "Don't apologize, I just want to know why. Not that your sorry." His eyes now seemed fierce and piercing as he gazed in Kansona's eyes. With an ueasy feeling flooding over him he was reluctant to answer quick, "We were there to steal pesticides. That village has been using them on their crops and when it rains, the runoff carries it and taints our water supply. We have been getting more I'll every day thanks to that toxic sludge.

Kotetsu took in all the information the man was stating to him and by the looks of it, Kansona was telling the truth again. "Now what were you going to do with the pesticides?" Now the man looked horrified. "The other two man and myself was going to dispose of all of the substance properly." The man paused for a moment, "there was another group that was going to steal it and posion the other villages water supply to get back at them. That's why we had to steal it first.

Kotetsu nodded and assumed the man was telling the truth again. By now the sun was almost up, so he pulled out some dried meat and split some between him and the man to snack on. "Ok , in a minute we will go back to the village and call the leaders from each. We will then discuss this mess and settle it once and for all"

Kansona nodded his head in agreement as he ate some of the meat and drank the rest of his tea. "That sounds best to me." the man seemed more reluctant than scared, now knowing the man was there to help instead of harm. Kotetsu then cut the man lose, extinguished the fire, and packed up all of his things. "Now, we best head off" he motioned to the man. Kansona then nodded again and followed suit.

After about 10 minutes of walking he sent the man to retrieve the village leader and he went obtained the leader of the other village. It was pretty early in the morning at this point. The sun peeked over the mountain as it glistened off of the morning dew, which made it a pleasen site on this warm sunny day.

Once both leaders were at the border, Kotetsu began to explain the situation to them both and attempt to solve the problems. "The pesticides your village is using, is contaminating their drinking water and it is raising tension between the two villages." He then turned to the other leader and continued, "Know people from you village were planning on stealing the pesticides and get revenge by poisoning their water supply"

He then motioned for Kansona to step foward, "Now this man knows who is in the wrong for collaborating to intentionally hurt someone. So he will let you know who, I expect them to be jailed and put to trial for their conspiracy." Kotetsu then turned back to the first elder, "Now your village is ordered to stop using the harmful pesticides or is expected to invent a safer version."

Both of the leaders nodded their heads and agreed to sign to the new deal/treaty, and everything once again was calm between the two villages and Kotetsu's mission was done. So he hurried back to the village to await his next mission and also to turn in the evidence of the lethal pesticides.
