[Final] Arakui Uchiha vs. Mianyi Kamiya

If anyone had told Mianyi that she would make it to the final match of the Kusagakure tournament, she would have blushed and demurred and said it was impossible. But yet, here she is, after having won a match up against her teammate and fellow Sunagakure genin, Tonou. She steps out into the arena unsure of what she's going to be up against - an Uchiha? Well, that's a far more likely finalist than a girl from no clan at all named Mianyi Kamiya. But she's a bit buoyed by her wins up until now and feeling just slightly more confident than usual. Much as she did not focus on the fact that her opponent the last round was a friend, she tries to not dwell on the fact that her next opponent is from a prestigious clan known for it's members battle prowess.

Mianyi is not sure what to expect from this opponent, besides that he must be skilled if he made it to the final match. To test him and get a sense of where this match is going, but also to make a strong showing and try to get a small edge in against her opponent, Mianyi uses Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken to send three shuriken at Arakui, using her skill in chakra control to manipulate them and try to score hits against her opponent, while attempting to drive him to his left side. Once the attack is unleashed, she approaches towards his left to close some of the distance between them and perhaps engage in closer quarters combat.

Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken:

"Hello, Suna huh?"

Arakui activates his Sharingan. He dodges two of the three shuriken but is hit by the third in his side.

Arakui throws a fireball at her approaching.

"Endan!"

Up until now, Mianyi has been willing to risk being hit by her opponents in exchange for getting closer or able to set up an attack that will ultimately give her the upper hand. This fight is no exception. As the fireball comes at her she dives for the ground, tucking and rolling to get under it while moving at a slight angle to it's trajectory. Of course she takes some damage - she is unable to get low enough to the ground or out of it's path far enough to completely avoid being singed - but the burns are less than if she tried to tank through the attack and she is closer to Arakui for not having attempted to completely evade it.

As she starts to come out of the roll she aims a kunai with an explosive tag at Arakui's feet before she ends her movement in a crouch from which she leaps to her feet to continue trying to close the distance between the two of them.

Arakui recognizes the explosive tag immediately.

He jumps back but the blast still sends him tumbling back.

Arakui throws two shuriken with binding string on other side of Mianyi.

He is attempting Ryuuka no Jutsu.

Mianyi notices the shuriken coming at her and the glint of something between them. She moves to the right as she throws a shuriken at the contraption to deflect them off target so that she can get past and closer to Arakui. When she judges that she is close to Arakui, but not yet within striking range for close range combat, she releases what has become her signature and something of a trump card in these matches, her poison mist.

Poison Mist:

Arakui responds to the Poison Mist by firing another fireball (Endan) at Mianyi.

"Poison?"

Arakui somersaults backwards trying to avoid the mist, but inhales a little bit before he can.

With her poison payload delivered, Mianyi tries to avoid the fireball this time. The close proximity of two makes that hard, however, and as she leaps to the side to get away from the attack, she finds her left leg is seared. She winces with pain as she lands, but tries to not let it get to her too much. It was worth it if the Uchiha inhaled some of the poison.

She launches herself forward at Arakui, trying to kick at his knee as she aims a punch for his lower ribs. If that one connects she'll release a burst of chakra through her fist to do some damage to his ribs and internal organs. She's clearly favoring her burnt leg in the process of moving, but if her poison was inhaled then hopefully she'll have enough of an advantage to strike the Uchiha.

Arakui blocks the punch but gets hit by the kick.

Arakui throws a punch at her head and a knee to her body.

Mianyi stops the punch aimed at her head by grabbing Arakui's fist. This leaves her open for the knee that hits her body and she releases her grasp on Arakui's fist and sort of doubles over. She finds this puts her in an interesting position and she tries to stab the back of his knee with a kunai to sever the tendons there, putting to use her basic knowledge of anatomy learned while preparing to become a medical-nin in the future.

If successful in stabbing, she'll try to act quickly to stick an exploding tag on his back, letting the pain distract him from the second touch this requires, and roll away, and she will threaten to blow his leg off if he doesn't concede the fight. If unsuccessful in her stab, she'll try to roll away and discretely leave the exploding tag on the ground near his foot, detonating it once she's gotten at least one roll-distance away from him.

Arakui attempts to dodge the kunai stab.

In response to the close fighting he attempts to throw his last two shuriken with binding wire.

Arakui's last attack would be Hyuuka no Jutsu
