Debriefing - Sakyo Uzumaki

Now that the tournament in Kusagakure is over, Tomoe and her genin are back in Konoha. True to what she said before, she is meeting with the genin who attended to hear what they were capable of observing and overhearing during the tournament. After giving them a day to relax and celebrate with their families and friends, she has summoned each one individually to her office to report on what, if anything, they overheard. And of course, Tomoe would also like to hear more about their experiences fighting in the tournament.

Tomoe sits in her office at her desk, waiting for the arrival of Sakyo

Sakyo enters Tomoe's office and kneels before her, "Hokage-sama"

He wishes that his intel will be sufficient enough for the Hokage. As he meets her gaze he speaks, "The tournament gave us the chance we needed to gather data on the Suna village."

"I hope that our clan is the one to stop them, if need be Hokage-sama."

Tomoe nods at Sakyo when he enters and greets her, but then looks slightly puzzled. "Suna? It was Kusa I asked you to gather information on. Is Suna up to something as well, then?" She waits to hear what Sakyo observed that has led him to the conclusion that Suna may be a problem as well.

OOC - Whoops, made a typo, meant to say Kusa. I'm just gonna give my report on Kusa now.

"During the tournament I managed to overhear two Kusa shinobi mentioning a competitor from Oto having a cursed seal, they say he was supposed to activate it but left his match before doing so."

"Ah, I wonder if that means Otogakure is planning something as well," Tomoe muses. "If so, it's no wonder he kept it under wraps. Revealing such a thing would draw suspicion to him and his village. Although our main focus is on Kusagakure and their plans, I have no intention of decreasing our surveillance on Oto, lest they try to find an opportunity to attack. Thank you for bringing that to attention."

"Hokage-sama" Sakyo bows his head, grateful that he could be of service to her.

He awaits her dismissal, or perhaps there is something else that she wants to hear from him.

Tomoe seems to have a bit more to say. "Events at the Kusagakure tournament necessitate that we prepare for further trouble to come from Kusagakure. While at the tournament, the Raikage became aware of a plot to assassinate the Tsuchikage. We were able to prevent the attempt and in the process we became aware that several high ranking ninjas of Iwagakure had defected to Kusagakure, and that Kusagakure was almost certainly up to no good. They may well have used the tournament to gain information about us by watching our genin fight in the tournament. Train hard, work on some new techniques, and remain vigilant to see what the future brings."

"Recieved, whatever it boils down to I'll be prepared Hokage-sama"

Tomoe nods. "Good. Be prepared and be alert. Train hard with your fellow teammates." She breaks into a softer smile. "I'm quite confident in all your abilities, based on how well everyone did at the tournament. Now, is there anything else you'd like to bring up?" This might as well be an occasion to touch base with Konoha's genin as well.

Sakyo remembers his fight with Krysto, he feels shameful allowing himself to be defeated early into the tournament. He thought that his strongest attack would be able to handle his opponent, but all he remembers vividly was waking up in the medical tent having his burnt body attended to.He can't contemplate how his final attack didn't manage to finish off his opponent when all was going so well for him.

"Hokage-sama..." He lowers his head, but then speaks, "There is nothing left for me to report."

"Then if there is nothing else you are free to leave. Congratulations once more on doing so well in the tournament, and good luck with your future training. Be ready and prepared for whatever may come from Kusagakure."

Sakyo stands and bows before Tomoe before hastily leaving to train.
