Mole Problems-Rank C

The day was a warm sunny day, with no cloud in sight, and a  breeze was barely blowing, just enough to make it comfortable outside today in the Land of Fire. It was there at the west gate that Kotetsu waited, in his mission robes, for the arrival of his new partner. They were tasked to head due west to an infested cave, in which they were supposed to retrieve gems for the client and/or exterminate the infestation of moles and rodents.

He knew this would be yet another simple mission, yet was excited for the fact that it wasn't another D-rank mission. Kotetsu was so tired of getting stuck with the boring missions so he couldn't wait to go ahead and start this one. At least I will be able to practice on using my weaponry. he thought to himself.

Ryuu wakes up to a loud knock on the door, he goes to open it and sees a note. "Meet at West Gate". Unsure of what its about Ryuu just grabs the usual; 2 kunai, 2 paper bombs, and 4 Shurikien. He puts it in his pouch and he throws on his clothes. He then puts the pouch in the proper placing and begins to leave. Ryuu walks to the west gate leaving the note at home. At the west gate he sees a boy around his age, smiling but Ryuu doesn't know why. ~"Hello, my name is Ryuu Hyuuga."!

Kotetsu noticed another boy coming towards him, and by the looks of it, he must have been his new teammate. He then looked him over a few times trying to determine his clan. Then upon hearing of the shinobi's name, a sly grin swepted across his face.

So a hyuuga. He thought to himself as he as replied, "My name is Kotetsu of the Uchiha clan." His hand now thrusted out to shake the guys. "It is a pleasure to meet you." With little hesitation he continued, "Looks like we are assigned to the same mission together, but it shouldn't be a problem for us. Since we do hold two of the three great dojutsu."

Ryuu examines his hand. An Uchiha..hmm. Ryuu shakes it anyway "Nice to meet you too. You clan is amazing, and I look forward to working together. Ryuu begins to walk out of the gate slowly leaving Kotetsu behind. As he walks Ryuu reaches in his pouch just to make sure everything is there. As he expects it is. He began to speak, "So explain our mission if you will please."

Kotetsu is quick to follow Ryuu, and watching him. He is observing how he walks, acts, and that for some reason he reached into his pouch. "Well we are to head due west until we reach a lone farmhouse, to where a cave is located somewhere on it." Pausing momentarily he continued, "We are assigned to exterminate to moles and rodents with in the cave, and/or retrieve the gems that lie within."

Ryuu continues walking,"About how far out do you suppose the farm is?" Ryuu thinks to himself.. an Uchiha. One of the great clans of Konoha. He begins to ask questions. "So when you unlock your sharingan do you see red or like? Im just curious to see what its like." As they keep walking Ryuu awaits for an answer

He continued to walk along with ryu, down the road. "From what I was told, the journey should be short. It should be nearly a thirty minute treck there and then the same, coming back. He then answered the genins question, "I see somewhat normal, although the sharingan is able to somewhat slow things down to allow me to analyze and decrypt situations and jutsu. It also helps anticipates the opponents movements by looking at their first move. Then by watching the muscle movements or small changes in a person i am able to narrow it down using the process of elimination to predict the next move." With out hesitation he continued, "That is how we are able to copy and mimic others moves, which in turn gives it the 'copy cat' nickname"

"Hmm interesting" Ryuu seeing that his Taijutsu would have to be completely unpredictable if he had to face Kotetsu in the Chunins. Ryuu continues to walk not saying another word. His mind seem to be on somethings such as Chunins while his stomach growled loudly.

"Now what about your byakugan, how does it work?" He asked intrigued. That was all he questioned as they finally came upon the small farm to where they were supposed to find the cave. As he stood there pondering to where the cave would be located on the land. "Where should we check first?" Kotetsu asked and as he waited for a reply, he fidgeted with the hilt of his wakizashi, located in his left hip.

"Well, Im able to see almost everything around me all at once. Theres one spot near my spine that is unguarded but its almost rare to hit that. But yeah i can see almost everything around me and i can see chakra connections, which also me to hit your chakra points and stop your chakra flow." As they come up to the farm he looked around as Kotetsu asked where the cave was. "Hmm...

BYAKUGAN:

!". He looks around and sees a hill near by with a cave. "There it is." He begins to run quickly towards the cave.

Very interesting, so his eyes have some similarities to the sharingan his mind drifted off to them battling in the future chunin exams, No matter, it won't stop me from advancing to become a chunin. after snapping out of his thoughts from hearing Ryuu, Kotetsu hurried off after him. To where they appeared at the entrance to a large cave, it was big enough for them to stand upright and have the maneuverability to fight if needed."Well I guess let's get started" he said as he activated his Sharingan-Tomoe2 "Let's not waste to much time on this" and with that he darted into the cave, to where he seen a few rats running. Once spotting them he removed three kunai and launched them at the rodents. Two hit directly while the third barely missed and allowed one of the rats to retreat further back.

Ryuu grabbed his kunai and threw it at the last rat.. "That was it?" As he speaks he sees a crap load of rats come. "Damn." He takes a deep breath as he closes his eyes. He inhales and gets into the Hyuuga stance. As he begins his hits he yells. "

Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms:

" He begins hitting the rats as the come clear a path towards the end of the cave. After hitting he leans up and looks at the gems.

Kotetsu swiftly retrieved three kunai and explosive tags. He then attached them together and jumped over Ryuu, and as he did he slung them in a zigzag pattern. So when the tags exploded, the blast was spread out and managed to clear a path into the rats. Upon landing he unsheathed his Iron Blood Wakizashi and in one fluid motion, he decapitated two more.

Ryuu watches in awe of the Uchiha. He watches carefully and pays attention to the skill of the Uchiha. As the Uchiha finishes he steps on the last living one stomping the life out of it. He looks back at Kotetsu then towards the gems. "Welp."

"Well," he mimicked his partner, "That seemed fairly to easy." Upon saying this, the roof right over the gems collapsed on top of them. After the dust settled from the falling rocks, Kotetsu noticed a rather abnormally large mole. Which was about five feet and seemed around 125 pounds.

"What the heck" he exclaimed as he leaped backwards next Ryuu. "Well not only do we have to deal with this, we have to dig those gems out now." By now he was a little irritated at the intrusion of the over grown mole, but Kotetsu was waiting for his team mate to make the first move.

Ryuu looks at the giant mole. With the lack of chakra the most he could do at the moment is hold his Byakugan. Within a few seconds he grabs Kotetsu's Iron Blood Wakizashi and uses it to reflect the light from the entrance of the tunnel and points it towards the mole's eye blinding it, "Kotetsu! Now!"

Without preparation or planning, the two seemed to be in sync. In a flash Kotetsu had his Divine Impaler unsheathed and wielded in his right hand, as he dashed forward as fast as he could charging chakara into his feet. Upon reaching the now blinded and irritated mole, he bent his knees slightly and dove at the chest of the beast. Which then he thrusted his ninjato into the heart of the mole while charging lightning chakara into it, to increase its cutting and piercing potential.

As Ryuu watches Kotetsu attack the mole, he throws him his Iron Blood Wakizashi. Ryuu quickly rushes behind the mole and grabs the gems and sticks him in his pouch. As he leaves he slaps 2 paper bombs on the mole just to make sure it dies. Kotetsu" let's get going!"

Kotetsu removed the ninjato from the chest of the mole, then caught the wakizashi. Once he notices what Ryuu has done he turned and ran for the entrance as swiftly as he could to avoid the explosion. Once out of the cave the paper bombs explode and cause it to collapse on the lifeless mutant rodent. From there he sheathed his weapons, "Thanks for assist." He said to Ryuu, "and I see that you retrieved the gems. So let's return them to the land owner" Kotetsu's hand then motioned, pointing in the direction of the small house.

"No problem" Ryuu deactivates his Byakugan after little chakra left. He looks to where Kotetsu's hand gestured. "Hmm well we might as well get going so we can get paid", he replies as he chuckles to himself. Then he takes off.

"Yea your right," he said in a friendly tone. "Lets finish this," with that he deactivated his Sharingan-Tomoe2 and started off in the direction of the house. Kotetsu could feel the stress and fatigue from his previous missions starting to take a toll on him. His muscles ached from overuse, as his chakara reserves were nearly depleted.

Upon arriving at the small house Kotetsu knocked on the door, to where a man appeared. "May I help you?" The man questioned, and Kotetsu was quick to respond. "Yes we are Konoha shinobi that were dispatched on a mission to clear your infested cave, as well as retrieve some gems for you."

Ryuu let's Kotetsu speak as he looks at the man. Middle aged, brown hair, sort of ripped. Ryuu pulls the gems from out of his pouch. He pulls them out and looks at them closely. He puts them in the man's hand and begins to walk off. "Nice doing business with you sir, Kotetsu shall we leave?"

"Thank you kind gentleman," was all the man said as he retrieved the gems from Ryuu and handed over a piece of paper, stating the mission was finished. Then he closed the door rather quickly without another word. "Well, I guess we should" as he finished his words, Kotetsu rolled up the paper, placed it in his sash, and followed after Ryuu in the direction of the village with the mission now complete.

(We can end it here by timelapsing the trip home or we can rp the whole way.)
