Description: My great Uncle Jiro is old and stiff. He is currently returning from a botany meeting in Konoha with the Senju clan. He is in the village now, but will need an escort from the East end of Kumo to the West end where the Raiken Compound is located. Expect to run into a few thugs who might want to take on a retired Kumo police officer, Jiro is well known for excellence in the field.
Goal: Make sure Jiro returns home in one piece.

"So this is the legend..." Zen murmured as he watched the old relic of the past.
Jiro must have been in his 70s or something, because Zen could see bony for his flesh and his eyes were so old they seemed to be close all the time. It seemed to the young Tankou that Jiro was snoozing while sitting at a bench near the village's East gate. He was on a pretty decent mission to escort the old Raiken clan member some hefty distance across the village back to his home. Apparently, they might run into some low-lives along the way, so Genin have to stay close and keep watch over the elder ninja. He waited for the other Genin who will comprise the escort team to show up. Zen was all geared up like always - the steel katana attached to his back along with two pouches filled with ninja equipment. He didn't expect to fight men who knew ninjutsu along the way, but at any time he wanted to tank a stabbing, he could always count on his trusty metallic friends.

Kenji arrives next to Zen. He looks at his Uncle, Jiro, and laughs. "Wake up, Uncle Jiro!" Kenji nudges his uncle until he wakes up. He looks at Kenji and Jiro and stands up. Kenji bows quickly. Then he turns to Zen.

"Are you ready? It's a long walk." Kenji turns and walks toward the direction of the Raiken compound.

Haru, not being familiar with the Genin he was about to work with, was surprised when he heard he was summoned to take part in this mission. Haru doesn't spend much time actually inside the village mostly messing around near the outside. Haru only brings his handy Jigoku no Yurei planning to be an up close fighter if necessary. Haru approaches the meeting point to see 2 fellow Kumo boys and a very elderly man sitting down.

"Oooooi, so uh, who is the one I'm supposed to be escorting?" Haru says while looking at  Kenji, Zen and Jiro with an honestly confused look on his face

Zen saw that Kenji and one other Genin who he was not familiar with would be joining his company today in their arduous travel. "Hello you two", Zen greeted. He pointed at Jiro in response to Haru's question. "This sleepy guy here", Zen answered. "Jiro Raiken... he's someone important so we have to make sure he gets back to his compound safely. It's a pretty long travel, so we should get started as soon as possible".

Jiro got up to walk after Kenji, who would be the head of the group since he knows where the Raiken compound is, for he lives there. Though at Jiro's pace, Zen hoped that it would not take them the entire day to get there. "Well then... off we go..." Zen said, going after the two Raiken clansmen. He turned to Haru. "I am Zen, by the way".

Kenji turns back and looks at the new arrival.

"Hello, I am Kenji Raiken."

Kenji then turns to Zen. "What are we supposed to be protecting uncle Jiro from?" Kenji didn't read the mission report, he just knew that he was supposed to get Uncle Jiro from Point A to point B.

"Of course I knew it was the geezer HAHAHA" Haru yells as he catches up with his team.

Haru butts in to their conversation and boasts "Hello boys, my name is Haru Hamasaki! Also known as 'The Grey Reaper Ghost of Ultimate Might from the Village Hidden in the Clouds' " Haru looks at both Genin and sees their confused and annoyed looks, Haru then turns to Jiro who gives him a smile

"Heh, sorry, my assumption was that this mission was just to accompany your uncle while fending off potential bandits" Haru says noticeably calmer

"We're protecting him from your basic muggers and goons. People who we normally don't have to worry too much about"

The latest addition seemed to be quite unruly and chatty, which Zen did not mind so long as it did not interrupt the mission. He kept his face neutral before the crowds to help with an unbias overview of everyone that's coming towards them. He had to be observant in order to pick out the people who might be armed out of the crowd.

Some Distance and Time Later....

It seemed as if they've been treading on for hours. The usually rambunctious skies above Kumo started to darken, and anytime the gods' dance will commence in the form of thunder and lightning. Zen kept himself besides Jiro to give the old man physical support. It was then did he notice a few guys cloaked in black raincoats sitting down up ahead. They were the negligent type, for Zen could make out the handle of a knife sticking out of their pockets....

Kenji noticed the group of cloaked men and just as quickly, the knife.

"Trouble, 12 o'clock."

Kenji withdraws a kunai of his own and walks in front of Jiro.

"Careful Uncle Jiro, these punks look rough."

(guess it'll be the two of us for the time being)

A grin appeared on one of the men as they all stood up. "Two kids and an old man", one of them said, walking ahead of the others. He was tall, appeared to be in his 30s, but the upper half of his face was concealed by the hood as they all were. "I'm going to make it easy for you. Put down that thing you have in your hand. Give us all of your money, and just walk away. Nobody gets hurt. You can all go back and cry to your mommies later on". He pulled out his knife.

Zen simply stood alongside Jiro. "Oh boy".

OOC: Well V, Arakui, since you guys have had two different team members for this thread and neither have stayed active I'm going to intervene and up the ante in this mission, making a B Rank mission and throwing in some PvP combat. I appreciate the two of you for your patience.

Kei dropped in behind the group of hooded men silently and effortlessly. The Kumo police force had been tracking the troublesome group for weeks to no avail, and Kei, knowing that his Uncle was to be escorted today thought it would be helpful to keep an eye on his two team members as they escorted Jiro home. A good thing too, because even though these thugs looked like common street folk, five of the six were Genin dropouts, never solid enough to make it onto teams or missions, but had decent fighting skills for Genin. The ringleader was a retired Chuunin that took to the streets to make a living when missions didn't cut it. "Zen, Kenji, best if you ask Uncle Jiro to stand back. Pick one, i'll take the remaining four." It was a good time to see what his team was made of. Besides, these idiots were dumb enough to try and pick a fight with the Raikage and his team.

Kenji charges towards one of the men. He draws his Kunai

Kenji uses a Black Bolt and throws it at the man. He then stops and prepares to throw his Kunai as well.

It looks as if their mission had just gotten a lot easier. Kei appeared from behind the men, no doubt looking out for his relatives and students. "This is unexpected", Zen said. He had given them orders to take on a single opponent. "You should sit back", Zen told Jiro. He tossed a shuriken at one of the man who was walking towards him, before rushing towards him, katana drawn. Zen would then try to cut the man, who seemed to be only a few inches taller than Zen himself.

The ringleader and three other subordinates charge at Kei, but he ignores them by kicking them away nonchalantly. He is simply playing a game with them in order to keep them busy. Now is a fantastic time to check on his Genin and see how they are doing.

Kenji's opponent is hit by a Black Bolt and slowed, obviously surprised by what Black Lightning does to the body. He isn't ready for the Kunai that comes flying in, but at the last second, manages to use a substitution technique to switch out for a nearby bench. With a new angle on Kenji, he flies at him kith a leaping kick.

As for Zen, the shuriken throw had distracted the man long enough for Zen to land a Katana strike across the man's midsection, sending him backwards stumbling and bleeding. The man retaliates by throwing a small ball of lightning at Zen after making the proper handseals.

Kenji dodges to leaping kick and uses Raiken Style: Lightning Release to send lightning out from his body.

Kenji then moves forward and tries to punch the attacker.

His assault was successful, but he did not send the man away. A pity, for it was better for him to flee from the scene and never return. Seeing the ball of lightning being charged, Zen decided to take his chances. He placed his fingers, concentrated with chakra, along the steel metal of his katana as he held the sword up to defend against the ball of lightning at point-blank. His blood smiled upon him, for his genes kicked into action by absorbing the steel into Zen's body. Now his skin was replaced by the metallic luster characteristic of steel, he was able to also take in half of the lightning, further augmenting his stat boosts. The other lightning would have dealt an electric burn or two - not that it would have hindered Zen in the slightest. Now a glowing, dazzling conductor, he sought to knock the daylights of the source.

"Take this next move...the Iron Elbow!" He charges at the man in his beautiful body, turning their body a full 360 degrees before extending his elbow out to hit the man right in the bottom half of his face. Sped up by the conducted electricity, the blow would not only break the man's teeth but also deal a minor electric shock.

Both Zen and Kenji managed to apprehend and incapacitate both of their opponents with their last attacks. A happy Kei nodded to his Genin and quickly knocked the other three hooligans unconscious. "Very well. That was good indeed. Let's get Uncle Jiro back to the compound."

Kenji nodded and looked at the thugs tied up on the ground.

"What are we going to do with them?"

His attack successful, Zen reverted back to his normal state.

"Hmph hmph Kumo police should show up soon to take them right where they belong. Jail".

Kei nodded at Zen's statement and gave him a pat on the shoulder. I am proud of what you guys did today. I'm sure you didn't expect things to play out the way they did, but you handled the situation well.
